How Much Does a Chiropractor Cost in Sydney CBD?

If you are thinking about seeing a chiropractor in Sydney CBD, cost is usually one of the first questions. Fees vary from practice to practice, and so does what you get for them, which makes it hard to compare. This guide sets out exactly how fees work at WellWellWell Sydney, what each visit includes, and how claiming through your health fund works, so you know where you stand before you book.

What a first visit costs and includes

A first visit is $220 for adults, $200 for concession and $180 for children under 17. Allow approximately 60 minutes.

That time covers a full conversation about your history, a spinal and nervous system assessment, and your first session. You leave having experienced the work itself, not just a conversation about it.

Follow-up visits

Follow-up visits are $85 for adults, $75 for concession and $65 for children. They are shorter, typically 10 to 15 minutes. Network Spinal care works with light, precise contacts, so sessions are focused rather than long.

Ten-visit packages

If you know you would like a run of care, a ten-visit package is $700 for adults, $650 for concession and $550 for children. Packages are paid upfront. If you stop care before using all ten visits, unused visits are refunded, with the visits you have used charged at the standard single-visit rate.

The concession rate applies to pensioners and full-time students with valid ID.

Can I claim chiropractic on my health fund?

Visits may be claimable under the chiropractic benefits of your private health extras cover. How much you get back depends on your fund and your level of cover, so it is worth checking with them directly.

HICAPS is not available at the practice. Instead, you receive a receipt after each visit, which you can claim online or through your fund’s app in a minute or two. Most funds reset annual limits on a calendar-year basis.

Does Medicare cover chiropractic care?

Medicare does not generally cover chiropractic care. The exception is a chronic condition management plan from your GP, often called an EPC plan, which your GP can arrange if it is appropriate for you. We accept EPC plans when an appropriate referral is provided by your GP.

You do not need a referral to book a visit. A GP referral is only needed if you are using an EPC plan.

Why chiropractic fees differ across Sydney

When you compare practices you will see a wide range of prices and formats. Some offer a short free consultation followed by a separate paid assessment. Others charge per visit, or work mainly in packages. Location, visit length and approach all play a part.

Our first visit brings the conversation, assessment and first session together, so the first fee covers all three. After that, you can pay per visit or choose a package, whichever suits you.

Finding the practice

WellWellWell Sydney is at Suite 301, Level 3, 185 Elizabeth Street, opposite Hyde Park in Sydney CBD. There is metered street parking around Hyde Park, and the Cook and Phillip Pool Carpark and Domain Carpark are both about five minutes’ walk away.

Missed appointments, or cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice, incur the full session fee. One same-day reschedule is free, subject to availability.

Common questions

Do I need a referral to see a chiropractor?

No. You can book directly. A GP referral is only needed if you are using a Medicare EPC plan.

Can I claim straight away at the clinic?

HICAPS is not available, so you pay on the day and claim afterwards using the receipt we give you. Most funds let you do this online or in their app.

Is there a free consultation?

Rather than a separate free consultation, your first visit includes the full history, assessment and your first session. If you have questions before booking, you are welcome to call or text 0434 886 221.
